Allergen Statement & Advice

Cake Care & Advice

  • Store in cool area away from direct sun-light.

  • Please do NOT keep cakes covered with sugar-paste in the fridge.

  • If your cake contains Ganache (double cream and chocolate) these can be refrigerated or as long as they are stored correctly in a cool place they will keep for up to 7 days although we recommend consuming within 2-3 days especially in the warmer Summer months.

  • Some designs may contain sharp supports.

  • Our sponge cakes are best consumed within 2-3 days of collection or delivery.

  • Our fruit cakes are best consumed within 3 months from collection date or can be frozen.

  • Although every effort is made to keep our cake textures and qualities consistent occasionally they may vary to a small degree depending on the regional qualities of ingredients used.

 

Our Allergen Statement (EU FIC 1169/2011 Regulations)

It is important you inform us of any allergens that may affect anyone eating this product so we can carry out a risk assessment regarding the level and severity of any known allergic reaction that could occur. In purchasing this product you agree that it is your responsibility to inform your family, friends, colleagues and/or guests attending your event of the allergens in this product and to carry out your own risk assessment if required.

Having advised you in relation to allergen risk we must stress that although every reasonable care and effort is taken in the preparation, we can NOT guarantee your product will be 100% trace free of allergens that are carefully stored and used daily on the premises i.e. Wheat flour, Barley, and Rye (cereals containing Gluten), Eggs, Milk, Peanuts, Nuts (walnuts, ground almonds, and confectionery), Soya (milk and margarine), Sesame seeds, Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphates (dried fruit preservatives). By purchasing a product online, by phone, e-mail or via any other form you accept and acknowledge that you understand this statement.

Further Detailed Ingredients and Allergen Information:

1) All of our ingredients are always of the highest quality.
2) All fruit cakes used contain nuts (almonds, walnuts and peanuts), other nuts or nut oil unless otherwise requested.
3) Nuts: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where peanuts, nuts (almonds and walnuts) and nut products (confectionery) are used.
4) Dairy: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where milk, butter, and other dairy products are used.
5) Eggs: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where eggs are used.
6) Wheat flour, Rye, Barley (cereals containing gluten): Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where cereals containing gluten i.e. wheat flour, rye, barley products are used.
7) To the best of our knowledge none of our ingredients above are manufactured in facilities that also process lupin flour.
8) Seeds: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment
where sesame and poppy seed products are used very occasionally.
9) Soya: Please note all our cakes are made in an environment where soya milk, soya margarine and other soya products are used. 
10) Dried fruits: Please note our dried fruits used in various cakes (mainly fruit cakes) are preserved with Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphates.
